     Hello! And to all you moms out there Happy (early) Mother’s Day.  We have started a new month and thus a new Challenge over at Clever Dexter.  This is our 5th challenge “Spring Blooms” and it is sponsored by the fabulous Paper Shelter.  This gorgeous digital stamp is called Art Nouveau Bloom.  Clever Dexter provides an optional color palette each month, for May the colors are red, coral, green and beige.  How would you color this image?

Happy Mother’s Day (weekend)!  This Friday at Oddballartstamps we are honoring mom with a special bouquet designed by Eny at Doodledaisiesandink.  Super cute with a touch of creepy, my favorite!
This card was colored with prisma premium color pencils.  The polka dot paper was die cut a Tim Holtz tattered edge die.  I cut strips of the denim paper by Paperstudio for the fringe and put all of that on the same denim background paper.

Happy May Day friends. I love The month of May, right off the bat you have May Day (May 1st) then Mother’s Day and my birthday 😉!  All kidding aside, welcome to May!

My project is a smash up of several Creepy Cute Chronicles images from Oddballartstamps .  First we have the hearts from CCC 91, then the syringe from CCC 102 and this weeks CCC premium images!

After designing my layout on the computer, I colored all the images with Prisma premium colored pencils.  For the syringe I colored it then I put down a layer of Glossy Accents and added fine red glitter (not sure who made it). The blood drops are enhanced with Tulip Sparkle puff paint and so are the hearts on the various images.  I really love the way everything pops on Kraft paper.  Do you work on different colors of paper or are you a strictly white person....just curious 😉!

Oceans of fun

     Hello Doodles!  Happy May Day and Happy Mer-May.  I thought it would be fun to start out the month with this fantastic image from Doodledaisiesandink called Oceans of fun.  I colored this Digital stamp myself but Eny now offers a colored version to many of her images that are super cute and ready to use.  Oceans of fun comes with eight images and two sentiments.
     For this card I colored the sweet little mermaids with black widow colored pencils for dark and light skin.  I should mention that the square braid technique I used was something I learned from Katya Bess (@snappykatty)  For the rest of them I used prisma premium colored pencils.  I die cut a stitch rectangle (Spellbinders)  a distressed edge rectangle (Tim Holtz) and layered those on a piece of embossed polka dot card-stock.  I bumped up the scalloped circle with mounting tape and placed that over the rectangles.  The fish turtle and girl mermaid are also raised up.  After placing all the pieces to this card I embellished it with flat bubbles from Spiegelmom scraps.
